Yamaha corporation invites qualified individuals around the world to enter the 2015 Yamaha Graphic Design Award. This competition is an international design award that looks for new designs of marks, symbols, and pictograms that, in a universal way, promote the theme of “concept” in the realest sense of the world and hopes to seek out new graphic ideas that will become part of a wider universal language the corporations can share.
The theme for the competition is “Graphic form of Kando”. The word KANDO in Japanese means for the heart “to be deeply moved” and this is an important philosophy that the Yamaha Corporation have always pursued.
- The winner of the competition gets the grand prize of $10000
- Individuals who are into visual communication design or design collectives (either emerging or established) can enter the competition
- Complete an online application form
- Send all data of digital work in JPEG format with a resolution of 72 pixels/in. All data should have RGB colour setting. Applicant will need to describe their content and/or concept within 200 words.
