Submission of Applications for the 2014 Tech Awards is Ongoing!

Individuals interested and passionate in technology and its application to the human society are invited to apply for the 2014 Tech Award.

The Tech Awards is an international awards program that honors innovators from around the world who are applying technology to benefit humanity. Tech Awards honors individuals, non-profit organizations and for-profit companies who are using technology to significantly improve human conditions in 5 awards categories:

  • Environment;
  • Education;
  • Young Innovator;
  • Health;
  • Economic Development.

The technology used can be either a new invention or an innovative use of an existing technology:

  • The technology and application are ground-breaking and stand out from existing solutions;
  • The innovation is being used in the field and is measurably impactful;
  • The organization’s annual budget must be less than US$50 million;
  • The technology application is in the field and had demonstrated a measurable benefit.

Prizes:

  • There are two laureates in each category. At the annual gala, all laureates are awarded cash prizes of either US$75,000 or US$25,000 in each of the 5 categories.

Eligibility:

  • Open to: individuals, non-profit organizations and for-profit companies who are using technology to significantly improve human conditions
  • For the Young Innovator category you have to 27 years old or younger.
  • The other four categories have no age restriction.
