Wow!!! If I am to start explaining how RISE Networks has impacted my life positively, I probably wouldn’t have the luxury of time to do that. Nevertheless, I would still recount a little bit of my experience with the organization.

It all started when Mrs. Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji came to one of the RCCG churches where I reside at Mafoluku, Oshodi area of Lagos state. Although I was not present at the event, my wife who was in attendance, spoke to me about Mrs Toyosi and she was so enthusiastic about it.

Some of the things she highlighted was how articulate, vibrant and eloquent Mrs Toyosi was at the event. Although my wife loves motivational speakers, but with Mrs Toyosi there was a difference and this got me thinking and wondering who this person that is tickling my wife’s fancy is.

As at that time, Mrs Toyosi had already made a name for herself such that the First lady of the United States of America – Michelle Obama, referred to her as one of her personal inspirations in a televised address in America. This prompted me to want to know her better, so I sent her a friend request on facebook but I got a message that she had reached the maximum friends’ limit and I had to resort to just following her.

I was in attendance during Rise Networks’ commemoration of the United Nations’ International Youth Day event organized last year, where lots of public figures like: Ms. Kate Henshaw; Hon. Patrick,; Former Governor of Cross-River State, Liyel Imoke; and other speakers were present at Unilag.

Although I had to be absent from work that memorable day, but it was worth my while and it was an awesome event. I discovered how she has been growing the network and recently the new turn in agriculture that has been one of the major focus lately has really caught my attention as a graduate of Animal production from a Federal University in Nigeria. That has really awakened and encouraged me that there is hope for graduates of Agriculture in Nigeria.

I have always been an ardent follower of her work, within and outside the country, because it makes me optimistic and do positive things.

Finally, there is no doubt that Rise Networks has really impacted me greatly and I would like to condole with her on the demise of her Chairman Mr Gamaliel Onosode. May his soul rest in perfect peace….

Long Live Mrs Toyosi Akerele- Ogunsiji,

Long Live Rise Networks,

Long Live Federal Republic of Nigeria.
