Abisoye is a Social entrepreneur with rich experience in information technology professional with an extensive background and know-how in computer programming, financial and information systems audit with diverse clientele from various industries. Abisoye was born in Akure, the capital city of Ondo State in Nigeria. She attended the Nigerian Institute of Information Technology (NIIT) and later attended the University of Lagos, where she received a BSc in Business Administration.                                        

Abisoye began her career working for E. D. P Audit and Security Associates. She worked at the company for seven years, beginning as an intern and being promoted to the level of Associate Consultant. Working in technology, Abisoye Ajayi-Akinfolarin discovered a large gender gap. A government survey conducted in Nigeria in 2013, found that less than 8% of professional, management or technological positions are held by Nigerian women. Wanting to help close that gap and encourage more women in her field, Abisoye established her own non-profit organization.

In 2012, Ajayi-Akinfolarin founded Pearls Africa Youth Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization that assists girls in developing technology skills through various programs including; GirlsCodingG.C MentorsGirlsInSTEM and Empowered Hands. Since 2012, the organization has trained over 400 young women to code. On November 1, 2018, Abisoye was named one of the 10 CNN Heroes of The Year. She was also recently listed as one of BBC’s 100 Women. A Nigerian women’s rights activist, Abisoye was recognized by ONE as Woman of the Year 2018.

She applies her deep understanding of programming and database administration to help design team appreciate the complexities and possibilities in new approaches for solutions development. Abisoye is a detailed Mathematical thinker who performs complex tasks and delivers excellent results on time and on budget with practical knowledge in database administration and an extensive understanding of complex computer systems integration.
