Goriola Erogbogbo is a Social Entrepreneur, Economist and Public Servant with over 14 years of work experience spanning Private, Public Sector and Non Profit experience.
He is Founder of The Layi Erogbogbo Foundation Africa’s leading Sub-Saharan African Foundation with an interest in providing support, free surgeries and visibility to endocrine diseases, such as Goiterdisease with an intent to reduce mortality and incidence of such diseases.
In 2013, he established the Layi Erogbogbo Foundation in memory of his late father who passed away after complications of a thyroid surgery by helping underprivileged people with thyroid disease in Nigeria.
The Foundation has seen to successful surgical interventions of patients suffering from thyroid disorder and targets free surgeries for at least 100 individuals on an annual basis, provision of information to over 3,000,000million individuals across Sub-Saharan Africa through schools, women, children and market place awareness campaigns.
Goriola holds an MBA from the prestigious Stephen School of Business at the University of Michigan where he was awarded the Deans Full Tuition Fellowship Award. He holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Lagos.
Recognized in 2015 as an Archbishop Desmond Tutu Leadership Fellow for his outstanding contribution to the growth and development of the Lagos State and in 2017 selected by the US Consulate in Nigeria to attend the Prestigious International Visitors Leadership Program themed “Transparency, Ethics and Accountability in Government” in the United States Government in Washington, DC.
He represents a new breed of young African leaders committed to re-inventing servant Leadership to engender Africa’s Transformation.
