RISE Youth of the Week is Mfonobong Nsehe from Nigeria.

Mfonobong Nsehe is the CEO of Hodderway Group and a Forbes Magazine contributor covering African wealth and entrepreneurship. He is largely involved in the research and compilation process of conceptualising and initiating Forbes’ annual ranking of Africa’s richest people.

Mfonobong Nsehe is a Nigerian, with a B.A in Communications (Hons) from Daystar University, Kenya and a Master’s in International Business from a South African University.

Before joining Forbes as a contributor, Mr. Nsehe had worked as a contributing business, political and technological writer at Nation Media Group-Kenya, and as an editor at ECHO Africa, a newsletter that highlights African problems and proposes solutions to them.

As a wealth intelligence consultant, he travels extensively advising a clientele of more than 50 leading Private Banks, Hedge Funds and Family Offices on the dynamics of wealth in Africa and providing intelligence on African Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWIs). As a journalist, he travels across Africa tracking and chronicling the success stories of Africa’s most brilliant entrepreneurs.

He has won Pan-African awards and global acclaim for some of his writings such as “Why Africa may never produce a Microsoft, Yahoo, Google or Facebook,” and “Africa, don’t blame the whites.” He also serves as a freelance reporter covering African news items for foreign media outlets.
