Our esteemed Managing Director, Mrs Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji, took centre stage as a distinguished speaker at the recently concluded Ekiti Innovation Summit.
Together with Key Nigerian visionaries, thought leaders and tech enthusiasts she explored the intersection of AI, human intelligence, and the transformative power of education and tech hubs.
In her insightful presentation, she debunked some myths associated with Artificial Intelligence in the 21st century, opportunities in the AI industry, the impact of AI on job markets globally and in Nigeria and what states in Nigeria can do to turn intellectual and technical acumen into capital.
In her words, ”At the core of all these is the deliberate, dedicated and aggressive empowerment of Teachers to instill new knowledge of digital literacy in them to prime the pump of Learning and improve the quality of practical 21st-century skills taught to young people as these will equip them and boost their competitiveness within the global job market and digital economy thereby raising revenues and investment in Nigeria.”
As we expect the sub-national governments to leverage our practical strategies on AI adoption and integration, we are inspired by the possibilities that lie ahead. You can download the presentation slides here:
One of the emerging technologies making waves in entertainment and pop culture is blockchain. Traditionally associated with cryptocurrencies, blockchain’s decentralized and transparent nature is now influencing how content is created, distributed, and consumed. In the realm of music, blockchain enables artists to maintain ownership and control over their work, ensuring fair compensation through smart contracts. This has the potential to revolutionize the music industry by addressing longstanding issues of piracy and unequal revenue distribution. Moreover, in gaming, blockchain is being used to create unique, verifiable digital assets, allowing players to truly own in-game items and characters, leading to the rise of play-to-earn models. As blockchain continues to infiltrate the entertainment space, it not only introduces new business models but also empowers creators and consumers alike.
Implementing AI in biotechnology demands meticulous ethical considerations. Protecting patient data privacy is paramount, ensuring compliance with rigorous regulations like HIPAA. Transparency in AI algorithms and decisions is vital to foster trust. Regular audits and robust safeguards against bias in AI models prevent unintended consequences. Ethical AI ensures that biotechnology advances serve the greater good while preserving privacy, fairness, and accountability in the field.
Plotly and Seaborn: Plotly is a great choice for interactive, web-based visualizations, while Seaborn excels in creating aesthetically pleasing statistical plots. Both tools are appealing to Gen-Zs who appreciate data-driven storytelling.
In the realm of biotechnology, data science, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) have ignited a profound transformation. These innovations have endowed the industry with the capability to revolutionize drug discovery and precision medicine. A notable application is AI-driven Drug Discovery. Biotech firms now leverage AI algorithms to analyze vast biological datasets, identifying potential drug candidates with unprecedented speed and accuracy. This not only expedites the drug development process but also contributes to more targeted and effective treatments. Data science and AI are redefining the boundaries of biotechnology, advancing research, and offering new hope for patients worldwide.
