The Makemation Film Post-Production Internship Programme is offering young Nigerian graduates a unique opportunity to develop their skills in the fast-evolving world of multimedia and filmmaking. The programme focuses on equipping young Nigerian graduates with technical skills in key areas of film post-production.
About The Programme
The Makemation Film Post-Production Internship Programme is an initiative of Rise Networks with technical support from Rise Interactive Studios and funding support from the UK in Nigeria Tech Hub. It is a project-based 6-week skill-acquisition programme that aims to address the gap in film post-production skills among young Nigerians.

PROGRAMME FOCUS AREAS
Picture Editing:
- Storytelling through Visuals: Master advanced editing techniques to shape compelling narratives.
- Software Proficiency: Learn to navigate and excel in industry-standard tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve.
Audio Post-Production:
- Dialogue Editing: Learn how to clean up, enhance, and balance dialogue recordings.
- Foley Cutting and Sound Editing: Create and edit sound effects to enhance the realism and immersion of the film.
- Music Composing and Scoring: Explore the art of composing original music and integrating it seamlessly into the film.
- Sound Effects Editing and Final Mix: Learn how to edit and balance all audio elements, including dialogue, sound effects, and music, to create a polished final mix.
VFX, CGI, Motion Graphics, and Holograms:
- Visual Effects Mastery: Learn to create stunning VFX and CGI using leading software like After Effects, Blender, and Maya.
- Motion Graphics: Explore the world of animated graphics and their applications in film.
- Holograms & Cutting-Edge Tech: Get introduced to emerging technologies like holograms and their potential in storytelling.
N.B. This programme is open to Nigerians in Nigeria only.

Who Should Apply?
We are looking for young Nigerian graduates interested in film post-production, who are eager to develop their technical skills and contribute to Nigeria’s growing creative economy.
Eligibility Requirements
- Educational Background: Applicants must be graduates from recognized tertiary institutions, seeking to acquire practical skills for market readiness and employment within the creative economy.
- Technical Requirements: Participants must possess a functional laptop, as consistent practice is essential for skill development throughout and after the programme.
- Location and Accommodation: The physical training sessions will be held in Lagos. Therefore, applicants from outside Lagos must ensure they have accommodation arrangements within the city for the duration of the programme.
- Commitment to Programme: Willingness to commit to the entire duration of the programme, including both virtual and physical training sessions, completing and submitting assigned tasks in due time. This is mandatory for a successful graduation and certification.

Overall, Makemation represents a pioneering effort to harness the power of film, technology, and storytelling to drive social impact and empower the next generation of Nigerians and Africans. The project’s ambitious goals and innovative approach position it as a trailblazer in the African creative economy.
