About Us
Rise Networks is Nigeria’s pioneering AI for Development (AI4D) organization, building Africa’s next generation of ethical AI talent and innovators. Through research, training, advisory, and policy engagement, we equip individuals and organizations with future- ready skills that bridge learning and employment. Our work advances Tech Justice and Digital Rights, promotes inclusive digital literacy, and drives policy influence and community transformation. By doing so, Rise Networks positions Africa as a co-creator in the global AI ecosystem, shaping an ethical, innovation-driven future.
Our Operational Focus Areas
1. Building AI Talent & Engineers
We are committed to developing a new generation of African AI engineers and practitioners with advanced expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), Machine Learning, and next-generation Agentic AI systems. Our goal is to nurture a pipeline of skilled talent capable of designing, building, and deploying AI solutions that address Africa’s unique challenges while contributing to global innovation.
2. Policy & Regulatory Capacity Building
The Fellowship will feed into the AfricaNextForum@UNGA, where Fellows’ solutions and policy recommendations will be showcased to Heads of State, UN agencies, investors, and global partners. This pipeline-to-platform model ensures continuity, visibility, and sustained impact. Alumni will form a growing AfricaNext AI Network to scale projects, influence policy, and mentor future cohorts.
3. Research Evidence-Based Advocacy & Storytelling
The AfricaNext AI Fellowship will be Africa’s most prestigious and results-driven AI leadership program, empowering a new generation to build homegrown AI solutions, deepen local language integration into global LLMs, strengthen computing power, and position Africa as a leader in global AI innovation and governance.
